Cammino Basiliano ®: a spiritual journey fuelled by art and biodiversity, following the trails of Basilian Monks. 

The Cammino Basiliano ® allows the visitor to discover an ancient land of undeniable historical, and environmental value

A complete narration of one of the most alluring and diverse territories of the Mediterranean, capable of offering extraordinary cultural syntheses of thousand-years-old civilizations. 

Believing in the strength of a millenary heritage, it aims to involve hikers in the valorization, preservation, and eco-sustainable fruition of Mediterranean landscapes, historical hamlets, places of worship, and archaeological remains. 

 

Unwinding from North to South for 1390Km across Calabria, the itinerary of the Cammino Basiliano ® –  developed along gravel roads, tracks, trails, ancient mule tracks, and paved roads -is structured in 81 stages, which correspond to a day’s walk. 

 

It starts from Rocca Imperiale and finishes off in Reggio Calabria, going across the Ionic side of the Appennino Calabro: Pollino, Sila, Serre and Aspromonte.
